The age dates listed for leagues are a date that will be strictly followed. Safety and level of the game-play is why age limits are set, and why they should be followed. This is not just a suggestion. All registrations will be monitored and if deemed inappropriately registered for leagues, Players will be moved at the board discretion. Any questions can be emailed to the Baseball Director.
Players should play in their “Home” Summer Rec district (i.e.: Cole, Dayton, Southwestern, Wea and Lafayette residents should play in the association built for those residents). If there are circumstances that warrant a move to Wea, then it shall be considered. By doing this, it helps all associations in our community have numbers for league sustainability. There are no guarantees that league numbers are automatically warranted outside Wea Township residents. We will only accept those players on an “as needed” basis to make roster sizes more accommodating to teams.
Registration will have a rolling close date determined by number of players that will be accepted. I t is encouraged to sign up early to be ensured of a roster spot. During registration, Wea will monitor numbers for our roster sizes. The board, at its discretion, may close certain leagues for registration ahead of deadline, and place any player wishing to play after that date on a “waiting list”. If enough players are interested to satisfy rosters, we may then accept the waiting list players on a first come first served basis. Wea will post via social media and organizational websites to notify interested parents/players when this situation may arise for a fair warning ahead of time, as much as possible.
All leagues are subject to having enough coaches for teams. If we run into a case where we do not have enough volunteer coaches to suffice the number of players registered, we will go off order of registration date for how many teams we can field appropriately. Those left without a team will be refunded if no coach is found.

* All STARS *
All Stars are for players 8U-14U that occurs during/after the Spring Season. There is only one team per division in All Stars, which concludes a total of 12-13 players and 3+ coaches.
All Star Players are picked individuals from the Spring Rec based on coach recommendations and player evaluations, in which the Baseball Director considers the players level of play, their sportsmanship, and their ability to be an outstanding teammate. If a player is selected, they are representing the Wea Summer Rec program to display all of their talents within baseball and be the best version of themselves. There is an expectation that players MUST attend all practices, scrimmages, and tournaments in order to remain eligible.
The All Star Season will start with selections by mid May and letters will be sent from the Baseball Director at the end of May. Practice for All Stars will begin mid/late June. The All Star season will run until early/mid July.
All Star practice times are determined by the coaches of the team. They should work best with all of the parents to find something that fits everyone. All Stars will have several practices at Wea Park during the season which leads up to local scrimmages and state-wide tournaments.
Scrimmages can occur at any time during the week, even on the weekends. Scrimmages will take place at Wea Park or additional Local Rec Programs in/around Tippecanoe County. Tournaments are often Friday - Sunday, all day occurrences based on how the players play and where they fall on the tournament bracket. Tournaments are state-wide and it is expected that you will be traveling to those sites 50-75% of the All Star season.
For the Fall Season, all leagues will start approximately at the start of the Tippecanoe School Corporation (TSC) first day of school.
The Fall Season will start early/mid August and run until early/mid November.
